Meet The Staff

ANDREW
AndrewsCamps fulfills the dream of Andrew Frierson who grew up in Mill Valley. For more than 20 years Andrew has been providing camps for Marin kids and teens that are wholesome, safe and fun. Andrew played Division 1 baseball at the University of Arizona, was drafted by the Montreal Expos (now the Washington Nationals) and spent three seasons playing professional baseball. He returned to Marin as head baseball coach at Tamalpais high school. Before launching AndrewsCamps he was involved in PE programs at Bacich, St. Hilary, Wade Thomas, Old Mill and Edna Maguire.

MIMI
Mimi (Andrew’s mom) grew up as the oldest of 8 children and has been around kids her entire life. Mimi’s passion has always been to cherish the spontaneity of the kids, to guide the development of their little characters and to demonstrate that no matter what, she loves them a lot and will be there for them anytime. She inspires the key AndrewsCamps rule: “Whatever you say and do should make the other person feel good.” Mimi hopes that in years to come kids will look back to the lessons learned at AndrewsCamps and go on to teach love and respect to the generation that follows them. Mimi’s sewing and knitting classes are esxpecially popular.

CONNER
Born in Greenbrae and raised in Inverness, Conner is no stranger to the uniqueness of Marin and the people who live here. He discovered his love of teaching as the vice chairman of his high school mentoring program, stood out as a leader in mock trial and lettered in both soccer and lacrosse. Conner took these service and leadership skills to the next level in the US Navy, serving as a Corpsman for five years where he became an expertly trained and highly specialized life saver. All of this experience makes Conner a valuable member of the AndrewsCamps team where he continues to care for others and inspire them to be their best.
